We're Bill Morrison and Steve Beckley, and on 30 July 2005 we are setting off from London in our 45-year old Morris Minor as part of the Mongol Rally (www.mongolrally.co.uk),
travelling through Belgium, Germany. the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and Kazakhstan before arriving in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar at some unspecified date in August after 8000 miles
We're not doing this just for the hell of it, but are raising funds for the excellent Send a Cow charity (www.sendacow.com) which helps local communities and economies in Africa by purchasing livestock for them locally. It's one way of helping to Make Poverty History without being told to do so by a bunch of millionaire rockstars in Hyde Park.
