Update: 25 September 09
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated - we are nearly at our initial £500 target now! Tia is doing briliantly, spending lots of time with the lovely volunteer dog walkers from Rescue Remedies and making lots of new friends. She is building up her fitness and getting in shape and is socialising with other dogs, ready to take the next step into a loving new home.
We have not been able to match Tia with the right home yet, but she is developing into such a lovely personailty that we are sure her break will come soon. In the mean time, ARC and Rescue Remedies continue to support her kennel and food bills so we would be really grateful for your continued support. We have raised the target to £750 to reflect this but we are just so happy to have got to the £500 mark so again, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated or passed the details to their contacts.

Tia is in a spot of bother so ARC have teamed up with Rescue Remedies (a doggy rehoming specialist charity) to help her find a new home. But we desperately need your help...
ARC rescued Tia from a sad existence in very cramped conditions where she was used for breeding until she was deemed no good and discarded. She is over weight, has had no training and was kept purely as a puppy making machine, without any love, affection or proper care.
You would think after such a tough life that Tia would be depressed and miserable - she has every right to be! But she has surprised and amazed us with her energy and enthusiasm and she has a truly lovely nature - she just needs some careful handling and lots of cuddles and we know she will make a devoted pet in time.
At the moment Tia has nowhere to call home but is being looked after by the volunteers at Rescue Remedies. They are spending lots of time walking and playing with her, bringing out the inner happy dog and teaching her a few tricks and lessons to get her ready to be permanently adopted by a new family.
As we all know, although hugs are free of charge, looking after a dog is not cheap and Tia has already been spayed, treated for fleas and worms, had lumps removed and has started a course of vaccinations. Her daily accomodation and food costs are mounting up too. But ARC and Rescue Remedies are committed to helping Tia to get back on her feet and to find a loving permanent home. That is why we are launching this appeal to fundraise for Tia - we need your help to be able to afford her vet bills and board whilst we prepare her for adoption.
You can see from her face that Tia has a lot of love to give and a lot of life to live! Please help us to make that happen for her by giving anything you can spare and please pass this on to anyone you know who might be interested in helping. Let's work together to give this lovely dog another chance at the life she deserves.
