Story
What am I doing?
Cycling from London to Istanbul on the 19th March, 2011. The journey will take over 5 Weeks and I will return 28th April, 2011. The journey is over 2200 miles and will traverse 13 different countries. Each country will be a unique challenge, the geography, the weather and the language will be hard to overcome.
Why am I doing this?
The sudden and powerful earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand has caused considerable irreversible damage not just to buildings but the tragic loss of life. Over 161 people dead, over 2000 injured and many have been made homeless.
On hearing this on the morning of 22nd February, I was very worried for my aunt, cousins and relatives who all live in Christchurch. I am greatful that they are all safe.
Many people have not been as fortunate as me and desperatly need immediate and long term help.
How will your support help?
All donations will go towards supporting the British Red Cross Earthquake Appeal which will help survivors who are homeless by providing absolute essentials.Note: I have COMPLETLY funded this expedition myself with help from my parents, so every penny of your donation goes directly to helping those in need.
What I can give in return?
It is always my hope that I can repay back your generosity. Throughout my journey I will share my experiences especially the traumatic ones through updates including videos and pictures. If there are any special requests along with donations, if reasonable I'll try my best to forfil it.
