Hi Everyone;
A friend of mine Sian Tyler (who is also doing the Trek) lost her Mother, January this year (2009) as a result of Meningitis.
Sian decided to take on this challenge of the Amazon to the Andes Trek to raise money for the Trust. There are five friends together with her sister Sarah taking on this challenge hoping to raise as much money as we can.
We have spent the last six months Charity Eventing including Car Washing, Bag Packing in the Supermarkets, Cake Stalls at local fete's and Street Collections at Rugby Matches. We are continuing with our Events at full speed with Quiz nights, Race days, Coffee Mornings all leading up to our big Trip in April 2010.
The more events we have done for the Meningitis Trust Charity, the more people we meet that have been touched in someway by Meningitis and the devastation it can leave a family with.
We would really love any Donations (Sponsorship) no matter how small toward this important Charity.
And wish us luck with a our fear of big hairy 'Spiders'...............
