It is traditional for students at Hendon to raise money for charity during their training. Our nominated charity is “Hearing Dogs for Deaf People”, and our target fund raising total for all of our charity efforts is £5000, which is the cost to buy and train a hearing dog.
One of the activities that we aim to complete to raise money for this fantastic charity is the 3 Peaks Challenge- climbing the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within of 24 hours. This will take place on the weekend of 18-19 April. The challenge will involve approximately 10,000 feet of ascent (and descent), over 20 miles walking and over 1000 miles of driving through the weekend!
As we are only at Hendon for a short period of time, we are restricted with when we can attempt the challenge and will only get one shot at it. Therefore, should the weather be unsuitable, we will complete an equally arduous challenge in safer conditions in either Wales or the Lake District on the same weekend. We would like to thank you in advance for your support (and please don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box for us too)!
