Thank you for raising money for The One Foundation. Our vision is simple - a world in which everyone has access to safe and clean water, forever. With our partners, we've delivered clean water projects across Africa, changing the lives of over 5 million people so far. You can help us reach more.

Story

Hi
This October I went to Swaziland to help the Kaphunga Community School. A PlayPump funded by One water (a roundabout powered water pump - while the kids play, water is pumped from deep underground) has been installed and we built a vegetable farm in the grounds.

1 billion people don't  have access to clean water and 4500 kids, die each day from  drinking unclean water.  Kids at the school used to walk five or six hours a day to get water. The pump means they now go to school and the farm will mean they get healthy food and be able to sell extra to get books and equipment.

Swaziland has the highest HIV / AIDS  rate in the world (40%!) and 200,000 kids are orphans or double orphans of the disease.

My flights and accommodation were provided free, so every penny you donate will go to the The One Foundation and fund more PlayPumps, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

My aim is to help fund another community - each pump can provide water for about 2500 people. Have a look at the images and youtube film of my visit attached.

So please sponsor me now! Thanks
