Hi, Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. On 6th July I am cycling in the etape, the public stage of the Tour de France. Now I am a keen cyclist but the furthest I've ever cycled before is 60 miles from London to Oxford - and that is a little bit flatter than the Pyrenees.
The etape is 105 miles, including getting to the top of the 7,000 ft Tourmalet and the 5,000 ft Hautacom. Also the weather can vary between 40 C and just 2 C. And if you don't go fast enough, the 'broom wagon' sweeps you off the course! Its certainly the toughest physical challenge I've ever taken on.
