Mens Health Survival of the Fittest (London) · 12 November 2011

At Harlington Hospice, we’re here to support those in our community living with serious or terminal illness, and their family and friends. We believe everyone who comes to us should be helped to live each of their days in their own way, to the fullest.

Story

You know what we think of when we think of Men’s Health? We don’t think of gym work, broccoli and protein. We don’t think of glossy magazines with random dudes with killer abs. We think of the Wall of Fame. We think of 10k of mud-soaked running. We think of Survival of the Fittest.
This year, November 12th, Jack Stevens and Stephen Hall are tackling this ‘suicide run’ in Battersea and we’re doing it for charity. Harlington Hospice provides palliative care for people with incurable disease, and it does so only because of volunteers and because of the donations that people like you make. It takes just a few minutes to make a small contribution, but each contribution makes a huge difference.

Ok, lets meet these two reckless individuals*.
*stats may or may not be entirely accurate
Name: Thomas Jack Stevens
Age: 23
Height: 6ft2 ¾
Weight: 18stone 4lbs
Bodyfat: 0.3%
Occupation: Teacher
Other: Jack has sculpted his already excessive training and gym work schedule to make him tailor-made to tackle this course. His speed, agility, and months of dedication deserve your endorsement and encouragement. He is taking this seriously, and he wants you to take him seriously too. Sponsor him.

Name: Stephen Anthony Hall
Age: 24
Height: 6ft3 (just enough taller than Jack Stevens to make no difference whatsoever)
Weight: 7st 2lbs
Bodyfat: 65%
Occupation: BBC things
Other: Stephen has deliberately abused his body over the last few months to make him in peak physical condition to do nothing other than sit and glance at the TV. He is not ready for this course, and will not remotely be ready come 12th November. He will struggle and bleed. He deserves your pity, your laughs, and your endorsement.

Together, Steve and Stevens believe they have covered a pretty good variety of reasons to be sponsored.
