Many thanks for visiting the Hethersett 500 Fundraising Page.
So, its all over! We made it through the full 24 hours, and managed to run over 1600 kms (thats 1000 miles) and have so far raised nearly £3,900 for EACH. We are so proud of all the students who took part. They did an amazing job and found out what its like to dig that little bit deeper. Many thanks also to all those who supported us both with sponsorship and with stuff for the event. All the parents who supplied food and drink, Britvic for all the squash, all the teachers who turned up to cheer, run and support, Mr Cole for being our very own 'Sleeping Mascot', Mrs Browne and Mrs Maycock for pulling all-nighters, CONAC for all the kick boards and the giant clock, Norfolk School Sports Partnership for sponsoring the event t-shirts, the group of Norwich businesses that raised £440 for us, Norwich Bioscience Park for printing our posters, Des Adams for taking loads of photos for us, Mr Humphries for the Boost bars, and anyone who I've left off.
A huge Well Done!!The Event
On Friday 13th February (we hope it won't be unlucky!) we will be embarking on a mammoth run, starting at 4pm and finishing 24 hours later. Running in teams in a relay fashion we aim to break through the 500km barrier in the time we have. We will be running through the night without break and be hoping to raise loads of money for our chosen charity.
