My story

 

 

Well, I've done the parachute jump. Played my violin 50 tune medley on the ground, then 2 jigs on the plane -before - THE jump. Thunderbirds go!  What an experience! It was fantastic. Thank you all so much for your support.

 

Hi. My name's Heulwen. I'm doing a parachute jump to celebrate my 50th birthday to raise money for Cancer Research Wales.  Most people celebrate their 50th birthday with a party. I felt that for me, reaching this age was a great opportunity to raise money towards a worthwhile charity. My father died of cancer, and by speaking to other people, I know many families have also been affected by this disease in one way or another. I'll be playing 50 tunes as a medley on my violin before I jump(played on the ground and on the plane) and sing folk songs on the way down. Let's hope the singing doesn't make it rain. I've told my family and friends not to waste money on birthday cards or presents, but to donate their money towards this wonderful charity. It would be great if you could sponser me too.

Byddaf yn chwarae 50 o ganeuon fel cadwyn o alawon ar y ffidil cyn y naid(yn cael eu chwarae ar y ddaear ac yn yr awyren), a chanu caneuon gwerin ar y ffordd i lawr. Gobeithio na wnai hala ofn ar yr adar ar y ffordd lawr. Dwi wedi dweud wrth fy mherthnasau a'm ffrindiau am beidio a gwastraffu eu harian wrth brynu carden neu anrheg, ond rhoi yr arian at yr elusen cancr. Bydde'n hyfryd tase chi'n gwneud hefyd.
