Story

Hi, welcome to my justgiving page whether you have found me by my own advertisement of it, through someone else or even if you just accidently stumbled across it at 3am doing 'research'.

This is my first attempt, and depending how badly it goes maybe my last, at running a marathon. Recent events i had done have been a small Triathlon and a 10K run but never have I tried anything as big as this.. For now I would like to try and train for a time of under 4 hours, which is a pretty big task. If your interested, please feel free to see how my training is going. See how many miles ive covered, weekly or monthly and to see were exactly ive run please follow this link: http://runkeeper.com/user/yatezy. For this monerstous task, 26.2 mile to be exact, ive chosen Cancer Research UK as the guys that I would like to run for.

Cancer is a horrendous illness, an illness that has taken 2 of my family and will effect most people directly or indirectly at some point in their lives. Cancer Research UK are the world's leading charity in beating cancer and the UK's largest charity. The charity is entirely funded by donations. Most of which is put back into the research for the cause's, treatment and prevention of cancer. In 2008/09 it spent over £300 million into the research of cancer. A huge amount of money. One I, plus many more people would like to see grow, this being one of the reasons for choosing this charity. I have no target, i just want to raise as much cash as I possibly can through this website and the good old fashion way of cold, hard cash in a tub. If I raise £15 or £15,000 its all going to a great cause thats helping change the life's of thousands if not millions of people.

So please donate =]

If you do donate, please do choose the Gift Aid option. The Government will then (reluctantly) add around 25% to your donation. Of that 25% this website takes 5% so your original donation will be untouched. The charity will get 100%, plus a little more due to the gift aid, of your donation. Thanks very much.
