Thank you all very much for your kind donations, and the good wishes - they worked!

We set off from Clapham Common at 6.30am and had great weather for most of the way.  We did get rained on a bit, but thankfully it was nothing like the downpours there had been the day before.

Despite all the warnings, Ditchling Beacon still came as a bit of a shock.  The thrill of crossing the finish line, however, more than compensated for that 1.6 miles of punishment.

And yes, some of us are now doing the John Wayne walk ;)
