We provide free hospice care in Somerset to around 5,000 people each year

Story

The six ladies:  Sarah Protherough, Helen Warren, Jenny Thorne, Kelly Pritchard, Joanne Arundale and Sabrina Thomas will be cycling the 1000 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End (check out our website at highlybikely.co.uk).

We are raising money for the St Margaret's Somerset Hospice, a centre of care that does an amazing and challenging job! To provide the specialist service the cost is over £6.5 million each year, over 80% of which needs to be raised through support like yours.

Our aim is to raise as much money as possible to support this fantastic local resource.

We will be slipping into our Lycra in September. Please, please, please give all you can.

We will keep you updated on our progress and watch this space on further updates as to where your money will go!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our page. Just so you have an idea of the fantastic impact your money will have:

£30 would provide a patient with special dietary needs with meals for a day

£300 pays for 4 home care visits from one of our specialist community nurses

£3000 would pay for St. Margaret's laundry for 6 months

Other costs your donation could help with:

£50 provides a selection of aromatherapy oils and complementary treatment session for a patient who has lung disease

£250 provides a course of specialist dressings for a breast cancer patient

£500 pays for an emergency ambulance journey to an out-of-hours Oncology centre
