Carl and I are Biomedical Scientisits working at Wansbeck hospital in Northumberland.  We both enjoy walking and hill climbing.  Carl last year completed the Marathon des Sables and we both completed the National 3 peaks challenge in under 22 hours.

Carl and I are hoping to raise a minimum of £1000 for Zoes place Middlesbrough.

Zoë's Place is a home from home for babies who have life limiting or terminal illnesses, special and complex needs to varying degrees.

Zoë's Place can take up to six infants at any one time, there is also accommodation and ample facilities for the whole family if these are needed.

They offer palliative and respite care for babies/infants from birth to five years old. They afford each individual respect and dignity regardless of gender, race, culture, religious beliefs or disability.

We are doing 3 challenges in May to raise money for Zoë's Place.  Challenge 1 HIKE: The yorkshire 3 peaks challenge.  This is a 25 mile circular challenge hike.  The three peaks starts and finishes at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire - Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728) and Ingleborough (723m).  We hope to complete this in between 8 and 12 hours! COMPLETED IN 6 HOURS 38 MINUTES ON 1ST MAY 2011.

Challenge 2 BIKE: The Coast to Coast cycle. This is a 140 mile cycle from Whitehaven to Tynemouth which will be completed in 1 day! COMPLETED IN 12HOURS AND 40 MINUTES ON 21ST JUNE 2011.

Challenge 3 HIKE: The hardest challenge of all, The Housman 100.  This is a 100 mile hike to be completed in under 48 hours.  Starting near Ludlow, In the scenic uplands of the Welsh Marches, through A E Housman's "Blue remembered hills" and "Land of lost content" immortalised in his timeless masterpiece A Shropshire Lad."COMPLETED IN 38HRS 36 MINUTES
