Story

Well, I'm back after taking part in a challenging 5-day trek through Jordan, hiking from the Dead Sea to Petra, suffering temperatures averaging 37 degrees , drinking water like it was free beer and sleeping out beneath the stars - and loving every minute of it - what an amazing experience!  Made all the more special by the fantastic people who formed the group - a varied bunch of characters who made the journey what it was - a journey of a lifetime, and all for an amazing charity.

Hiking over such varied terrain, from large boulders to fine sand, slippery mountains to parched riverbeds, the journey ended at one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World and was a fantastic adventure which I feel privileged to have been a part of.

Take a look at the photo slideshow link below to see shots from the trip:

YOU CAN STILL SPONSOR ME, EVEN AFTER THE EVENT...All sponsorship money raised goes to The Douglas Bader Foundation http://www.douglasbaderfoundation.co.uk  An incredible charity which does so much good work for those unfortunate to have suffered limb loss.  The Foundation is celebrating its 25th Anniversary, and I felt it a particularly appropriate charity to support considering the number of limb-related injuries our troops are suffering on operations.  Coupled with Help for Heroes, our troops are getting the best treatment available to them and, more importantly, the follow up after-care that such charities can help provide.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Douglas Bader Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

I am also donating a percentage of proceeds from photo shoots, so if you'd like to book a session take a look at www.digitalattraction.co.uk

Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Many thanks for the very kind donations from everyone so far, and the following organisations:

DYSON Ltd

The Works - Hair & Beauty Salon

Arkells Brewery

Spice Of Asia - Indian Restaurant

And thank you all for your continued support.

If interested in partaking in such an adventure next year, look on the DBF website link above at 'Events'.
