Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Anyone who knows me well would agree that I'm normally one for taking things easy on my weekends. My ideal Sunday is spent lazing about on the sofa reading the papers and chilling out. So it's just as much a surprise to me as it must be to my family and friends that I'm about to tackle the Adidas Women's 5km Challenge. Furthermore, I'm determined to run the whole distance shoulder-to-shoulder with thousands of other women in London's Hyde Park too!
My aim is to raise at least £250 for Queen Elizabeth's Foundation (QEF), a charity that has spent 74 years creating opportunities for people with disabilities - enabling them to live fuller, more independent lives. Today, QEF's specialist centres provide vocational retraining, life-skills coaching, brain injury rehabilitation, mobility assessment, tuition and advice to those disabled people who need these services most.
Worryingly, the Challenge is on Sunday, September 6th - two weeks away - and I've only just begun asking people to sponsor me. If you can help me out by giving today, I'd be forever grateful.
