UPDATE: Thank you to all my sponsors. I only managed to walk a half marathon (13 miles) in just over 4 hours. BIG THANK YOU TO NEP WHO WAS WITH ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY !!
The special boot they fitted wasn't as expected and was/is really hard to walk in and then blisters all over my good foot didn't help either !!! If anyone wants their money back because I didn't finish please contact Kidscape direct.
Please help me to raise money to prevent other families going through what we have after the sudden death of my 13 year old nephew in June 2008. We believe he took his own life because he was bullied. I have ran 4 half marathons in the past but I have never ran a marathon before - this will be my last !
NEWSFLASH 6/4/09 ! I now have a broken foot and it's in a lovely pink cast to my knee (fell over in the middle of night, not running and not drunk !). They are fitting me with a special boot the Friday before the marathon so I can at least walk it. Will need lots of cheering on as will take a long time and will be a struggle.
