Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hippophobia - the fear of horses.

My good friend, Frances Benton (www.tears-of-the-dragon.co.uk) had a happy meeting last November with my riding mentor Margaret Morgan who runs Berwickshire RDA.  Frances admitted for the first time to anyone (including her riding daughter Lucy) that she had an extreme and deep seated fear of horses.

Margaret, in her practical, matter-of-fact way responded with "Oh, we shall get you over that. You will ride, standing on a cantering horse by next November"

Frances, an international business woman, always responds positively to a challenge and had an instinctive faith in Margaret. "OK" she said with a slight tremor in her voice "I'm up for it!"

Frances lost consciousness after falling off a large police horse when she was four. The hazy memory of those large, clomping hooves stomping by her head continues to plague her.

We aim to overcome that in Spectacular Style!

November 8th 2013  is the day when Frances will attempt to ride Standing up on a Cantering Horse! This will take place at Berwickshire RDA near Reston.
