*** Please do NOT sponsor me at the moment ***

Hi there,

Unfortunately, I am currently struggling with a torn muscle of the hip/groin (For those of you who care it is the Illiopsoas). This has put the marathon in some doubt. For those of you have already sponsored me, I have not yet made a decision and won't do until nearer to the time, either way, I will keep you informed.

Thank you

David

31-March

Hello all,

Well, for some bizarre reason that seems to have slipped my mind, I have decided to run the London Marathon. Training has begun in earnest and you may well see me at strange times of the day having a near cardiac arrest along the Regent's canal or sweating on Hampstead Heath (no comments please).

As well as the personal challenge, I am also trying to raise money for Health Unlimited who run medical programmes for some of the world's most marginalised populations, working in places such as Burma, Rwanda and Sierra Leone. They train doctors and health workers, give out health supplies, run health education programmes and immunise children against fatal diseases.

Feel free to come down to the course on the 25th April to encourage/yell abuse/trip me up/throw rocks at me. As an added incentive I will be giving away my used T-Shirt to one lucky supporter and I'm happy to see bids on used socks as a memento of the day.

Anyway, enough preaching, please give generously and I really am very grateful for your support.

David
