Story
My name is Holly, and I was 9 last weekend (March, 2012). Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was inspired by Helen Skelton from Blue Peter crossing Antarctica to the South Pole for Sport Relief. I watched a programme about her getting ready for her trip (getting fitter and more confident) and she went to Sierra Leone and met Issa. Issa is a boy who's Mum and some of his brothers and sisters died from drinking dirty water. His safest well is an hours walk away. He goes there every day before school.
After I watched the programme I wanted to do something to help, too.
My challenge is to do as many individual sports for half an hour each in one day - so far, on Sunday, 11th March, the plan is:
9.30am - mountainbike from my house to Chase Road Corner
10.15am - orienteering on Oldacre from Chase Road Corner to Chase Vista
11.00am - run home
12.30pm - climbing at Wolf Mountain, Wolverhampton
2.30pm - skiing, Tamworth Snowdome
3.15pm - skating, Tamworth Snowdome
4.00pm - swimming, Tamworth Snowdome
6.00pm - dancing at home with Just Dance
There is a little leeway in the timings, and hopefully I will find time to eat in there!
It would be great if you were able to come & keep me company at any of the activities & join in, or just stand on the sidelines and cheer me on as I get tired. If not, a donation to Sport Relief is what it's all about. I will be digging deep to complete the challenge, so please dig deep into your pockets to support me.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you,
Hols.
