Story

20th September 2009, is the challenge day for Rachel Holtham, Simon Holt and David Holtham, who will endeavour to complete the Great North Run in Newcastle upon Tyne.

This year we are running to raise funds for "Meal-a-Day", which is a charity run by Christadelphians, who in general, look after children who are in need in the less developed parts of this world. Many have been orphaned or abandoned.

Our picture shows children who are happy and content, which goes to show what a great improvement in life this charity has given to them. With your help we want to add more smiling faces to this picture. We need your support to raise as much as we can for this worthy cause. Your sponsorship would be greatly appreciated and would go some way to creating a better quality of life for these children.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us. "Meal-a-Day" will receive your money faster and if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no extra cost to you.

21st September 2009 - We have just returned from Newcastle and pleased to say that we all completed the Great North Run. A big thank you to all who have sponsored us, your donations will surely help those in need. If there are those who would like to sponsor us, you still have time, this website will remain open until 20.12.2009.
