Our final total in 2006 for Cancer Research was £3,511.31
Including Gift Aid.
We are now looking for Sponsors for our 2007 car.
Our aim is to Double what we raised last year.
Please note all money raised will go direct to Cancer Research, the cost of the Car and Rallies will be met out of our own pockets. The rules for the rally are as follows below
The vehicle must cost less than £100. Not £135, not £200, £100. If we do not purchase the car we must provide a signed witness statement from someone stating that they feel £100 is on the expensive side as a valuation for our car. It must also state that they wouldn't buy it for £101.
Calais 2 Casablanca 2007
This is going to be our first rally into Africa, and the format is going to change very slightly. Instead of the usual 4 days starting on a Friday, it'll be 5 days starting on a Sunday. This will allow teams to get into Casablanca on the Thursday, and then an extra couple of days getting back to the UK. The journey through France and Spain will take in the exquisite Millau Viaduct, the tallest roadbridge in the world and mountain roads in the beautiful Pyrenees. The finishing will be somewhere near -- surprise, surprise -- Casablanca. Probably.
Day 1 - 24th June 2007 - Calais to Millau - 576 miles
Day 2 - 25th June 2007 - Millau to Andorra la Vella - 235 miles
Day 3 - 26th June 2007 - Andorra la Vella to Murcia - 456 miles
Day 4 - 27th June 2007 - Murcia to Morocco - 342 miles
Day 5 - 28th June 2007 - Casablanca - 250 miles
