Hove Superstars · 4 July 2007

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Hove Superstars was conceived by a group of good friends at the beginning of 2005, around the time the BBC revived the legendary television series.

The first TV remake prompted weekly betting on where sporting celebrities would finish in a range of grueling events. Extreme competitiveness between former stars like Duane Ladejo, Stuart Pearce, John Regis, Jamie Baulch, Alain Baxter, Amir Khan and Ricky Hatton provided much entertainment, but sadly the programme was ditched after just the second new series. An inside source admitted that persistent problems relating to insurance cover had led to the demise of the show.

Undeterred, this group of friends reminded themselves why they enjoyed watching the TV Superstars series so much................. They all loved competitive sport.

The first Hove Superstars took place in July 2005. Now into its third year, nothing looks set to stop it!

Details of this years events, along with the profiles of all the competitors, can be found on our website: www.hovesuperstars.co.uk

Your support for us and the Multiple Sclerosis Society will be greatly appreciated.
