I must be mad as I haven’t run for over 12 month’s eek!

Still I AM going to do this and intend to have fun along the way!

My Mum will be the Last Runner Marshal this year, so along with friends Julie & Claire, we decided to run/jog/walk/crawl with my Mum and help raise money for the SOS Children’s village’s charity.

I was deeply moved by the shocking news and devastation following the Haiti earthquake and felt I could really help to make a difference, but I really need your help.

About the charity

For nearly 60 years, SOS Children has built communities around the world for children who have no one to turn to. By providing a home and a new mother in a purpose-built local Village, thousands of orphaned and abandoned children have been given a loving and secure family for life.

SOS Children also plays an important role in supporting the development of local communities by building and running nursery, primary and secondary schools; vocational training centres and medical centres, all of which are open to the children in our care and to those from the wider community. Where possible, we want to prevent child abandonment, so we offer skills, training, education, counselling and micro-loans to vulnerable families so can they can provide for their children in the long-term. SOS Children also provides emergency relief in situations of crisis and disaster.

Today, we care for more than 78,000 children in 490 unique SOS Children's Villages in 124 countries worldwide, and also support a further one million children and families in local communities.

How you can help me to help them

All I ask for is £1.00, just a quid!

You too can make a real difference with a small donation - really!

I need to raise £100.00 in two weeks and the clock is ticking away fast!

A local business has also agreed to double any money we raise, so if each of us three raise £100.00, and they double it, that’d be a whopping £600.00 total which could make a huge difference!

Please dig deep in your pockets or handbag, everyone can find a quid – even if it means sacrificing your bar of chocolate for a day – surely it’s worth it?

Thank you all so much

Love Hannah xxxxxxx
