We support grieving children & their family to support them through a difficult time

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

From 6am on Friday 22nd June I shall be rowing in circuits around the Mewstone and on the river Yealm non stop for 24 hours!

Please join me in spirit, sponsorship or hopefully both, in raising money for charity in conjunction with Wolferstan’s bicentenary 2012 Project.

Support boat and water transport

We will have a support boat in Old Cellars Bay (the mouth of the Yealm, see picture above) and watercraft manned by my family and friends to ferry whoever wishes to come and support me. Please call my son Josh on 07896 466086. He will collect you from the Yealm Hotel steps (PL8 1BN). Life jackets will be provided.

Meet at the Pub

On the Friday evening, high tide is 20:26hrs, there will be a crowd meeting at the Ship Inn, Noss Mayo from 19:00 where the food is great. We hope you can join us there! I will be rowing by but not partaking of any of the local Ales!

Dinner for Two

There is a prize for a 3 course meal with wine at the Ship Inn for two people (in July 2012) for the sponsorship with the ‘Best Comment’. I hope they will be witty and sarcastic!

Brunch at the Pub

There will be a brunch at the Ship Inn, Noss Mayo on Saturday 23rd June from 10:00am to celebrate the charity event and my achievement of rowing for 24 hours. If you fancy a couple of hours of fresh air by the beautiful River Yealm please join us.

River Yealm

The River Yealm is one of the most beautiful estuaries in the world. If it’s a sunny day and evening, I am sure there will be lots of people on the water having fun. However if it is a typical June weather I know that I will be wet and lonely for a long period of time!

I am more than aware that we are constantly asked to sponsor events and individuals. With that in mind whatever you are able to donate is very much appreciated.

So please dig deep and donate now.
