We offer care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer

Story

A HUGE Thank you for taking time to sponsor us.

The date is set - on the 1st September we will start walking from London to Huddersfield.

Over the last few weeks we've been training hard, walking about 23 miles a day at the weekends - tough!!

As you may know both Beck and I lost our grans to different types of cancer and so we believe any cancer charity is worthy of our support.

Becky's gran, Pam, died of breast cancer after a long battle. In the latter stages she said to Becky, if she'd known how nice the doctors were, she would have gone for treatment. Regrettably by then it was too late.

Breast Cancer Care do a great job in raising awareness of the help available to people like Pam, who, might be scared of coming forward.

My gran did come forward when she had lung cancer, but despite a number of trips to the doctor, she was turned away, as I'm sure many other people are. Again awareness of symptoms could have saved her life.

If this walk saves a single life, it will have been worth it a million times over.

Thank you.

Rich and Beck. x x

P.S - Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. Breast Cancer Care will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
