Hull Pets At Home's very own Gemma, Phil, Amanda, Jo, Lynz along with Becky from Carr House Rescue Centre are about to embark on the stores biggest challenge EVER!
On Wednesday 14th September at 7am our group will start their 26mile hike over the 3 peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, starting with Pen-y-ghent at over 694m high, then on to the highest of the peaks Whernside standing tall at over 736m high then on to Ingleborough at over 723m high, finishing with a 10 mile hike back to our starting point and finally to the pub for a much deserved drink (if Gemma is still standing......though getting Gemma to a pub should be no problem!)
We aim to complete the challenge in under 12 hours(it generally takes over 14hours to complete) to gain our access into the official 3 peaks club!!
As we only have 7 days until the monumental challenge we thought we would update you all on our progress and preperation (or lack of!)
Amanda is no longer walking with us as she has recently found out she is expecting her first baby and is suffering with horrendus morning sickness! CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA!!!
We have all purchased our walking clothes and boots and yesterday we bought a map!! All we need now is to pack our rucksacks with some energy food and off we go!!!
Gemma also need to pack the one thing that will be keeping her going through the entire walk...her bottle of blue wkd which she intends to carry the whole way and drink at the finish line!
We have smashed our £1000 target but now have our sights set on £2000 so please please dig deep and help us reach our target and help all animals get a second chance in life.
