In 2009 a group of students from Hummersknott School cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats and raised £5,600 for St.Teresa's Hospice. They inspired so many young people from their school that in 2010, Hummersknott Cycle Club was formed. The club consists of both boys and girls aged 12 to 15. We are out training every weekend in all weathers. After the Christmas break we are all eager to get back on our bikes and 'up' the Training ready for July.
In 2012, the year that Great Britain hosts the Olympic Games, we have set ourselves the huge challenge of cycling the length of our Country -1000miles, from Lands End to John O'Groats.
We have again chosen to support our local hospice, St.Teresa's as they have just had their 25th Anniversary. They provide care and support to patients and their families whilst at the Hospice or in their own homes.
Please give generously to help the Hospice carry on their wonderful work within our community.
