In 2010 my fourteen-year-old nephew was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma. Only a few years later my aunt was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. While my nephew has made a miraculous full recovery, my aunt is still battling her cancer. As a family member (especially one who lives far away like I do) it is a very helpless feeling to see someone you love be so sick. There is really very little that can be done to help ease their suffering despite wanting so desperately to make a difference. It was out of this feeling of helplessness that I decided to grow out and donate my hair to The Little Princess Trust.

The Little Princess Trust makes wigs for children who have lost their hair to cancer. A single wig requires multiple hair donations as well as a few hundred pounds for its production. I have created this page to raise awareness for those also considering donating their hair, and for those who would prefer to donate money instead. 

I will be donating my hair on stage at Camp Bestival this summer (2017) and would love for you to join me! I hope to get other hair donors to join me on stage, but I am also hoping to get lots of people donating in their own neighbourhoods on the same date.
