On the 27th of August, we will be taking part in a 10,000ft tandem Skydive in aid of the Scottish Huntington's Association.

Huntington's disease is an inherited disease of the brain. There is no cure for Huntington's disease, and its progress cannot be reversed or slowed down. Generally, the disease progresses and gets worse for around 10 to 20 years until the person eventually dies. In the later stages of Huntington's disease, the person will be totally dependent and will need full nursing care.

The Scottish Huntington’s Association (SHA) is a small Scottish Charity that was established by families living with Huntington’s disease in the late 1980s. Experiencing directly the dearth of services available to them, the organisation pursued the goal offsetting up specialist family support services and this ultimately blossomed into the development of an extensive network of specialist services.

Huntington's disease is awful, not only for the person experiencing the disease but those caring for them and their family. Often the family become the main carers, which can cause physical, emotional and financial stress to the entire family.

We are fundraising for Huntingtons disease to raise awareness of the disease, and its devastating effects. The money we raise will go towards help and support for people living with huntingtons, and their families, in the Highlands.
