Story

<p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;">Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;">It has been 16 years since I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and I think it is about time I do something to speed up this cure I was promised by the doctors and nurses when I was little...what better way than to raise some funds for Diabetes UK by running 26.2 miles on my first wedding anniversary!</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;">I have pledged to raise a minimum of &pound;1900 towards this deserving cause. &nbsp; To find out more about the charity or how your donations will help, please click on the link below.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;">To add to the complications, I have started continuous insulin therapy by form of an insulin pump! As I have been on insulin injections for a good part of my life, the option of having an insulin pump was like being told I could now control my diabetes and it no longer controlled me. Admittedly I've had 'teething problems', but after a couple of months of trial and error, my sugar levels will be on track!</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;">My marathon story has been published in my local newspaper, please have a read: &nbsp;<a href="http://www.wiltsglosstandard.co.uk/news/cotswolds/8917101.Diabetic_chemist_celebrates_first_wedding_anniversary_by_running_a_marathon/">http://www.wiltsglosstandard.co.uk/news/cotswolds/8917101.Diabetic_chemist_celebrates_first_wedding_anniversary_by_running_a_marathon/</a>&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;">Finally, I have been asked to be interviewed on BBC Radio London on the days leading up to the marathon. Watch this space for my review time!</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11.5pt; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;">Every little counts and I thank every one of you for your support!</span></p> </p>
