I ran it last year; to prove an emotional and physical personal point, to fulfill an intermittently disappearing/re-occuring daydream, and let's face it, because I get carried away when someone suggests a new, fun (?) idea!
The 'long jog around Berlin' challenge was set, met and now strikes back!
However, this year, it is more than a personal challenge. I am running for Body & Soul (mine and the charity!), a charity started by some incredible women, supporting those living with or affected by HIV and AIDS, offering a safe-haven of love, friendship, advice and support. Both this charity and the cause are close to my heart (which means I need to run faster
).My brother Charlie - who was part of the 'marathon team' last year is also running again and helping to raise money for Body & Soul (so you can sponsor him if you prefer the larger/male Cain model!).
As is Celine - the world's best marathon partner (amazing how much there is to talk about, even after hour upon hour of pavement pounding!)
Thank you for your generosity (and please pass this message on to your friends who may have a wad of cash stashed in a pot plant or under the floorboards).
Wishing you love, health, happiness and the courage to follow your dreams...
'Hurrycains and the French Tornado'! ('cos we shall run like the wind).
