Hi everyone and thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Firstly a bit about our chosen charity. Contrary to popular belief Crimestoppers is a charity INDEPENENT of the police and government and is wholly subsidised by funding and donations.  As a result of information given to Crimestoppers, which can be done anonymously,  1 person every 5 days is charged with murder and since 1988, over 89,000 arrests and charges have been made. There isn't a person in the country who doesnt think crime is a huge issue which is out of control- Crimestoppers do exactly what they are called.

The two of us are looking to run the London Marathon on the 26th April 2009.  As we are running for Crimestoppers, this requires us to raise £1500 EACH minimum. Without this we cant take part and the streets are that little bit less safe! So please, ANY contribution would be welcome. We will be hosting a number of fundraising events from BBQ's, to Quiz nights and Poker Nights- all welcome, look out for details! Thanks everyone!

Hus's Column

Hi Ladies and Gents, I will be attempting to complete the London Marathon on 26th April 2009 with my partner in crime (-stopping) Mr Kashif Din. We are running for Crimstoppers because it is a charity we both believe strongly in and crime is something you good people hear me moaning about all too often so its time to do something about it! As I mentioned we will be hosting a number of events in the near future and look forward to seeing you there. I understand times are hard but, it goes without saying, any contribution would be much obliged. We are taking this very seriously (reducing kebab intake is serious) and me and Kash have set our target time of 4.5 hours to finish the 26.2 mile course. However we wont even make the start line without the amount we pledge so those of you left out there who still like me, please help!!  Thanks, Hus. x

As you are probably aware by now, I together with Huseyin Ali (Hus) are going to attempt running* the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon.
