iSOFT Sky Dive · 23 October 2009

We brighten the lives of seriously ill young people by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Our wishes are as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a fireman, meet a real-life mermaid or even the Loch Ness Monster, we work hard to make that wish come true.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

On 20th November the 3 of us did a tandem skydive to raise money to help terminally and seriously ill chilrdren via the Rays of Sunshine children's charity.

We jumped from the plane at a height of over 12,000 feet and freefell for 45 seconds, reaching speeds of up to 125 mph before, thankfully, our parachutes opened and we floated gracefully to the ground.

We were VERY SCARED - so please sponsor us loads of money in recognition of the fact that we didn't bottle out!

We would like the money we have raised to fund iSOFT wishes, like the one Gill helped organise a few weeks ago for a 7-year old girl with leukemia who wanted to go ice skating. The charity arranged a stretch limo to take her to a lesson with instructors from the TV show Dancing on Ice and for her to see Kyran Bracken's Ice Party Show and to meet Kyran and some of the other celebrity skaters afterwards. The wish gave her something to look forward to for weeks while she underwent unpleasant treatment and now she can't wait to start skating lessons when she finishes her chemotherapy etc in 18 months time. Please help us to make more wishes like this come true.

And here's the blurb - it's dead simple to donate through Just Giving, they won't give out your details, they'll reclaim Gift Aid etc etc etc........
