Re-engage helps people aged 75 and older to overcome loneliness and social isolation through volunteer-led social activity groups and telephone befriending. Your support can help provide a lifeline of friendship and give lonely older people something special to look forward to.

Story

The Ernst and Young Infrastructure Advisory Team have decided to get into shape and raise funds for a good cause whilst doing so!!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!! We are raising funds for Contact the Elderly. This charity organises gatherings for elderly people who live alone. Once a month a charity representative takes the time to take a group of between ten and sixteen elderly citizens to visit different home and spend a few hours in the company of old friends and make new ones. There are currently 265 groups nationwide.

There are three Ernst and Young Teams running as well as Contact the Elderly representatives. Our aim as a team is to raise £10,000.  Our aim as the Infrastructure team is to raise £1000!!! Please contribute what you can.

The Infrastructure team is:

Mark Jones: Fresh faced analyst.

Anna Ferguson: Established runner and dedicated waste guru.

Benito Grimaudo: Italian man who likes pizza.

Nicholas Parker:  Remarkably ran the Nike 10K without any training.

Chris Youl: Runs home from London to Clapham. Could win the actual race.

Jonathan Constable: Dark horse. Not sure what to expect.

Greg Dobson - Surely an Aussie cant win the Brit 10K?

And the two unknowns from M&A are.......

Carl Liddy - A budding young committed runner who is running 5 times every 3 days to ensure he gets round. Thats committment!!

Tabrez Khan - A cricketer who I am trying to recruit into the IA cricket team. Keep an eye on this one Parker!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Contact the Elderly will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
