Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 2nd August I will - hopefully - be completing the London Triathlon. The race comprises of a 1500m swim in the Thames (mmmm, nice), followed by a 40km bike ride, and a 10km run. In the process, I hope to raise some money for a very worthwhile and relevant cause.
Thames Reach is a London-based charity with an ultimate goal of ending street homelessness. They help homeless and vulnerable people to live in decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. In the knowledge that the route out of homelessness can be long and painful, they are committed to never giving up on people, regardless of how complex, chaotic or challenging they may be.
Spending 3 hours clad in neoprene and lycra, navigating the waterways and streets of London will provide plenty of opportunity to reflect on the many people who have to deal with life on the streets of the city on an ongoing basis.
If any of you are interested in offering moral as well as financial support, then don't be shy and head down to the Excel centre on Sunday 2nd August for a fresh 8am start to the swim. It would be great to see you there!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks!
Iain
