Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  My name is Iain Stevenson.

Just over 2 years ago my son Ben was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.  This is a rare and very aggresive childhood cancer. There are approximately 100 cases a year diagnosed in the UK. Sadly after 10 months of painful and unpleasant treatment Ben lost his brave fight at the age of 3 and a half.

I now have the opportunity to run the London Marathon this year for the first time. I am hoping to raise as much as possible for this charity, which as i'm sure you will understand is very close to my heart. The target above is the minimum i need to reach but obviously i am hoping to smash this figure. So please dig deep but any amount you can donate will be gratefully received. (However large or small)

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Neuroblastoma Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
