Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

As most of you will be aware my mum passed away earlier this year from a form of cancer. Whilst she was ill she was cared for at the Oakhaven Hospice who were absolutely fantastic in the care and support they provided.

So this September I am going to be running (hopefully still at the end!!) the New Forest Half marathon and trying to raise as much money as possible to help support the wonderful work the Oakhaven Hospice do.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Oakhaven Hospice Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Many thanks for all your support, please dig deep!!

Iain

Update:

Nervous energy is starting to build now! Finished with the bulk of my training on the 13/09/09 so have been enjoying doing some shorter runs to keep everything ticking over! 5 days to go!

Update: 02/10/09

Just a quick message to say thank you everyone for their very kind and generous donations, the race last sunday was alot of fun (well the first 10 miles of it anyway!) and and a great experience, more so by the fact that with everyones help we have managed to help raise a sizeable amount of money to such a great cause!

I finished the half marathon in 1 hour 57 minutes and so was pleased with my efforts (the goal was to go round in under 2 hours).

Thanks again,

Iain
