My personal message:

After four long years of University I finally graduate in July 2008 and I wanted to do something worthwhile, fun and that would give me a great experience before I went into the big, wide world of a full-time job........... So,  along came the Marie Curie Cancer Trust with the 'BIKE THE BALTIC' Challenge!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only is it to raise money for Marie Curie, the money raised will be kept within Glasgow and go directly towards the 'Big Build Project' in the city!!!!!

I will be cycling from Latvia to Russia from the 31st Aug to the 14th Sept...... Dont worry Im not doing it alone, the aboslutely insane Jen Mckie will be doing it with me!!!! It was her crazy idea in the first place.........

It is 1,000km or 622 miles, which is a massive challenge!!!!!! Its just the kind of experience that I was looking for..........

"Bike The Baltic" as the challenge is known is made up for four stages. When you enter you pick which stage you wish to do. I've decided to do the last two stages... but this means raising a massive £5000, something that can only be done with alot of support!!

The two stages I shall be tackling are as followed:

Stage 3 Riga to Talinn Starting in Latvia and finishing in Estonia, this challenge links two beautiful capital cities in Eastern Europe. We follow the Baltic coastline all the way, taking in some pretty coastal towns and the second largest waterfall in the country.

Stage 4– Talinn to St Petersburg This will probably be the toughest route. Although the shortest in distance, with much of the route close to the sea it is likely to be windy and chilly..

I have received alot of help already, such as donations from Arnold Clark and my old high school Boclair Academy... so thank you!! I have also recieved help from my employers USC, which is fantastic! Hopefully over the next couple of weeks and months we will be in the press to try and raise the profile of our fundraising......

It is alot of money to raise over the next six months and anything you can give will be greatly appraicated and is going to a worthwhile cause........ Thanks in advance for all your help!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
