Story

From 1st to 11th June I will be walking from Glasgow to Inverness along the Kelvin Walkway, The West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way to raise money for The Scottish Fair Trade Forum, principally for the promotion of Fair Trade in local areas including Midlothian.

I'm asking all my friends, relatives and anyone who, like me, supports Fair Trade to donate a fiver to my cause (of course, if you want to donate more, please feel free to!). I will be covering all my costs on the walk so every penny raised will be used to promote Fair Trade.

In Midlothian we are trying to achieve Fairtrade Zone status for the county and Fairtrade Town status for some of our towns. Money raised through this appeal will help cover costs of publicity, booking rooms for public meetings, etc, principally in Midlothian, but also in other parts of Scotland.

About the charity

The Scottish Fair Trade Forum is dedicated to making Scotland one of the world's first Fair Trade Nations. Through supporting those working to create new Fairtrade Towns, Schools, Universities and Workplaces, we encourage communities across the country to make a difference nationwide.
