London Football Ground Cycle Ride · 6 June 2010

Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

FOLLOWING SURGERY ON 26TH APRIL, I AM UNABLE TO TAKE PART IN THE CYCLE RIDE ON 6TH JUNE. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS SPONSORED ME AND I UNDERTAKE TO CYCLE THE ROUTE LATER IN THE YEAR. IAN.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I along with some other supporters of Staines Towns FC am taking part in a sponsored cycle ride between eleven London football grounds on Sunday 6th June 2010

We will be starting at Crystal Palace and then cycling to Millwall, Charlton, West Ham, Leyton Orient, Tottenham, Arsenal, Queen Park Rangers, Chelsea, Fulham and finishing at Brentford, a total of distance of 57.41 miles.

Having lost my father to Bowel Cancer, I am doing the ride to support the Bobby Moore Fund which raises money for research into bowel cancer and also public awareness of the disease.

Bowel cancer is the third most common cancer in the UK after breast and lung cancer. Almost 100 people in this country are diagnosed with the disease every day. Bowel cancer affects similar numbers of men and women.

I know that times are economically challenging at present but I would be grateful for any sponsorship however large or small towards this very worthy cause.

All the  best

IAN
