I've chosen this particular challenge for two reasons. Firstly i will be Fifty the same year i complete this trek which is a big mile stone in its self and being a person who loves the outdoors and freedom. I have chosen this challenge of combining a trek up kilimanjaro and at the same time raising funds for a deserving local charity which is helping me to help others . This will be no easy feat combining variations in temperature from 30 C+ down to 10 C- at the top combined with possible altitude sickness after 2500M upwards. I have experianced some of these conditions on Ben Nevis and have a hard training regime to complete, but im confident  of achieving this challenge.

And secondly this charity is based in wales and serves the people of wales, by providing a specialist service for people suffering from cancer ,i have friends who needed the help of this charity in resent times and they cannot speak highly enough of the fantastic service this charity provides. It survives purely on generous donations from the public and i am asking you to join with me in reaching my target of £3,500.00 or more.
