Story
Hello,
As many of you will know, my dear mum was very poorly in February with a nasty strain of meningitis. Happily she is well on the mend now and we all expect and hope her to make a full recovery.
The truth is, though, that she would not be with us now were it not for the care and dedication of the wonderful people at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital's intensive care unit in Sheffield.
As we know, the NHS gets an awful lot of stick but when my mum needed it most it pulled her through.
In three weeks - on May 16 - I am running the Great Manchester 10km Run again. I know you all get an awful lot of these requests and it can be hard to sponsor everyone.
But I am not looking to raise loads of money. I just want to give a few quid to the department that did so much for my mum when she needed it during those dreadful two weeks in February.
Please sponsor me if you can.
Thanks,
Ian
