When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

My dad died of a stroke in 2010, at the age of 69. Unfortunately for dad the stroke didn't kill him straight away it took over 20 years. If it wasn't for the help mum and I received from the Stroke Association over those years of my dad's steady decline we wouldn't have coped. This is my small way of saying thank you to the Stroke Association for all their help and it will allow them to help and support other people in our situation. Please help me reach my small target.
