As you probably know I will be running the London Marathon on 13th April to raise money for ME research UK.

ME is a chronic illness affecting around 240,000 people in the UK, many of whom are bed-bound for years with little hope of recovery. I have seen first hand the affects this illness can have on the sufferer and those that care about them. Over the years I have tried to understand more about the causes of this illness and the work being undertaken to develop an effective treatment. However, whilst ME is recognised as a serious chronic condition by the Chief Medical Officers of England and Scotland, comparatively little research has been conducted into its causes and consequences.
