Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have set this up in memory of my Dad, Ian Calvert, who was tragically taken from us on Thursday 1 April 2010.

Those who knew my Dad would know he was the forever young punk rocker who never gave up on his bands and the music he loved so much. From punk rock he enjoyed the DIY of the creative side of the punk force filming bands and producing his own DVDs. He also compiled and published a book to summerise one of his life long hobbies; collecting beermats....shameless plug here for his book 'A Guide to Collecting Beer Mats' (ISBN 0-9553297-0-1).

My dad enjoyed following Heart of Midlothian Football Club and he actively encouraged me to be a Jambo also. I have loved going to the games with him since I was 4 years old. I have lots of amazing memories of my Dad which I will treasure all my life. He was a great father to me and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The reason why I have set up this JustGiving page is that in 2003 my Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. The money raised will be going to The Parkinson's Disease Society, UK to help further research. This research will help learn more about the condition, find the best possible drugs and explore new hopes for a cure.

I'd like to thank everyone in advance for all donations made.

Samantha
