Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
As many of you know, our daughter Erin was born in November 2007 with a serious heart condition called Ebsteins Anomaly. She was in an incubator for 6 days until she had open heart surgery. She then spent another 3 days in an incubator before finally being well enough to go to the ward. She spent another week on the ward, and it was only then, that we were able to bring her home. It is only thanks to the skill and dedication of the surgeons, doctors and nurses and the fact that there is a facility such as The Evelina Childrens Hospital available that Erin is alive today!
Whilst we will never be able to thank the hopsital and the staff enough for what they have done for Erin, I have decided to run the 2009 London Marathon on behalf of the hospital to try and raise some money and say thank you!
If you are able to sponsor me that would be great. Erin is doing very well now, however, she still has some hurdles to overcome in her life and will probably be needing the Hospital again at some time in the future. I appreciate that times are quite hard for many people at the moment, however, if you are able to donate some money it would be very gratefully received by the hospital.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Ian
