Story

LANDS END TO JOHN O' GROATS CYCLE RIDE

On 7th June 2013, Ian Gent and Ralph Burgess, from the Maghull and Lydiate U3A Cycle Group, together with 'Dag' another cyclist from the Aughton and Ormskirk U3A, will set off on the Lands End to John O' Groats  cycle ride.

The 'End to End' or 'Le Jog' as it is known, is an 874 mile journey, which they hope to complete in fourteen days.

The team have been stepping up their training recently for this gruelling challenge, which cannot be taken lightly.  It demands dedication, commitment and a sense of purpose.

They will each be cycling for their chosen charities.  The Woodlands Hospice Charitable Trust is an independent charity commited to delivering the best possible practice and development of Specialist Palliative Care for people with cancer and other life limiting ilnesses.  It is based locally at the UHA Campus, Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley, Liverpool 9.

If you would like to support them by sponsoring him, please use this site to donate.
