Luddesdowne CC is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club, active since 1947 in ensuring that several long-suffering WAGs get at least one day's peace and quiet a week throughout the summer. The club relies on players and well-wishers to keep cricket alive in this idyllic north Kent valley.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the club and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Between 4.15pm on Friday 20th May and 4.55pm on Saturday 21st May I climbed to the summit of the highest points in Scotland, England and Wales; Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon; separated by a distance of 460 miles.

I was supported by driver Jerry & Stu, who came most of the way with me, but was ill throughout the weekend and did not want to unduly hold me up, as I was attempting to get as near to 24 hours as possible.

The challenge was completed by setting off from Wales at 6.30 the following morning to head back to Kent where the 3 of us played cricket for Luddesdowne in a victory at Southborough.

We are raising money for Luddesdowne Cricket Club, a small community-based organisation set in an idyllic valley in the Kent countryside. Founded by returning POWs at the end of the second world war, it does a great job keeping middle-aged men (and younger ones) off the streets and helps give an afternoon's welcome peace & quiet to several long-suffering wives & girlfriends.

Please take a look at my rockumentary of the weekend and be as generous as you can.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLc2j5XCFbQ

I am also raising funds for the jimmy Mizen Foundation (via www.uk.virginmoneygiving.com/iangreensmith)
