Story

THE DEVIZES-WESTMINSTER CANOE RACE

APRIL 2009!!!

Hello and thank you for visiting this fundraising site. It is now 2009 and I am all set to complete this years preparation races and the the Devizes to Westminster 125 mile canoe marathon in April. Paddling along the Kennet & Avon canal to Reading we then follow the R Thames to Westminster Bridge. Single K1s are not permitted to complete the race in one hop so it will take place over the 4 days of Easter.

I am continuing my support of the ARMY BENEVOLENT FUND as they reach out to such a wide variety of need across the British Army and your heartfelt donations via sponsorship is so valuable and appreciated. Please may I ask you,  therefore, to consider supporting me to complete the DW in 2009. This site is one of the best ways of sponsorship and all you need do is follow the very simple instructions. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Army Benevolent Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks once again and it would be such a bonus to achieve the target I have set above.
